It is with much enthusiasm and great pleasure that the executive body of the students association of the school of biomedical and allied health science welcome all students to the largest school within the college of health sciences in the premiere university within the west African subregion .
In welcoming you, I, the president of the Univeristy of ghana allied health students association wish to bring to fore the relevance, mission and vision of the highly esteemed students association. UGAHSA is democratic in character, representative in purpose, progressive in outlook and derives its powers and legitimacy from the student body. As an association, we seek to
1 Create a bridge between students and resources, departments and the Student community in order to promote student happiness and a harmonious faculty- student feedback relationship,
2. Advocate student interest and build upon positive attributes and strive towards the fair allocation and efficient management of resources found within UG-SBAHS and UGAHSA community, and
3. Strengthen student-alumnus relationship to obtain a formidable alumni body.
Our Vision is to become a collective voice of UG-SBAHS students’ body, maintain and promote students’ interest, inspire innovation, provide a forum for ideas, and promote actions to empower students to become the best Allied Health professionals.
The existence of student unity and happiness among members is a cherished virtue. It is in this vain that we organize educative and entertaining programs to meet this need. UGAHSA is a best among the numerous and we are privileged to say welcome once again and enjoy your stay.
PROFILE OF THE PRESIDENT
Emmanuel Kweku Sam is the president of UGAHSA. He is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Medical Laboratory Sciences and is an old student of Ghana Secondary Technical School. He enjoys singing and playing volleyball.
PROFILE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT
Jennifer Ohene-Afrah is the vice president of UGAHSA. She is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Nutrition and Dietetics and is an old student of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School. She likes to read and listen to music during her leisure. ‘Let thy food be thy medicine and their medicine thy food’, a quote by Hippocrates is her favorite.

Rebecca Ocansey is the general secretary of UGAHSA. She is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Medical Laboratory Sciences and is an old student of Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School. She loves music, art, movies and reading. Her favourite quote is ‘ )bra nye woara ab)’ (Life is what you make it).

Michael Acheampong Debrah is the financial secretary of UGAHSA. He is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Medical Laboratory Sciences and is an old student of Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School. He enjoys reading and watching movies. His favourite quote is: The destiny of a man lies in his own hands.

Stephen Asiedu is the organising secretary of UGAHSA. He is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Occupational Therapy and is an old student of Prempeh College. He loves to watch football and talk about issues of national concern with his friends. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ is his favourite quote.

Foster Agyei is the Public relations officer of UGAHSA. He is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Medical Laboratory Sciences and is an old student of St. James Seminary and Senior High. He enjoys reading and watching football. ‘A good name is better than riches’ is his favourite quote.

Sharren Obiri-Yeboah is the women’s commissioner of UGAHSA. She is a level 400 student of UG-SBAHS studying Dental Laboratory Sciences and is an old student of Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Senior High School. Cooking, Music and Art are her interests. Sharren’s favourite quote is: Everything is possible to them that believe.
PROFILE OF THE AUXILIARY EXECUTIVE
Emmanuella Maame Bemaa Oduro-Yeboah is the auxiliary executive of UGAHSA. She is currently a level 300 student of UG-SBAHS studying Respiratory Therapy and is an old student of Wesley Girls’ Senior High School. She loves to partake in outreach projects and to interact with people. Cooking and singing are her hobbies. Her favourite among many quotes is: Give until the people you are giving become givers as well.
