Welcome Message from HOD

Welcome to the University of Ghana’s Department of Dietetics, Ghana’s premier institution for the training of Dietitians. The department is located on the Korle-Bu Campus of the University of Ghana. We run both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes taught by experienced faculty, most of whom are also registered dietitians and members of the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, USA. Faculty of the department are also engaged in research that spans across several areas in nutrition and dietetics. These include medical nutrition therapy, cardiovascular diseases, maternal and child nutrition, nutritional immunology, dietetic practice etc. All these researches are geared toward improving the overall wellbeing of individuals in the community and the country as a whole. Our programmes include Bsc Dietetics, MSc Dietetics and PhD Dietetics.
