RESEARCH INTEREST
Tagoe’s Lab focuses on the mechanistic role of pathogens in the aetiology of non-communicable diseases including cancers. Well-established molecular tools and bioinformatics are used to investigate virulent diversity of pathogens, and how pathogens and/or their oncoproteins disrupt host signalling to cause diseases. The lab also studies metabolic reprogramming especially in cancers- in all identifying biomarkers for diagnosis and potential therapeutic targets.
