About Us

The University of Ghana Association of Physiotherapy Students (UGAPS) is the official student body representing the Physiotherapy Department of the School of Allied Health Sciences. UGAPS serves as a collective voice for physiotherapy students, advocating for their interests and promoting their professional growth.

Vision
To unite the student body while increasing public awareness of the physiotherapy profession and empowering students to deliver high-quality healthcare services in Ghana.

Mission
Our mission is centered on:

  • Promoting physiotherapy awareness through public enlightenment campaigns, free medical checkups, and educational outreach.
  • Strengthening collaboration between physiotherapy students, staff, and other healthcare professionals through joint initiatives.
  • Inspiring more students to pursue careers in physiotherapy through awareness programs and mentorship opportunities.
  • Enhancing funding and sponsorship for physiotherapy education and practice.
  • Building confidence in physiotherapists’ contributions to healthcare delivery in Ghana.
  • Highlighting local healthcare challenges and encouraging innovative solutions through academic excellence.
