Research interest: My research focus is to advance understanding of virus behaviour, genetic diversity of viruses including HIV, HCV and SARS-CoV-2, and the role of host genetic in outcome of viral infections in Ghanaians. His current research themes encompass deciphering the HCV genome organization and species diversity in Ghana; HIV drug resistance, species diversity and host factors in HIV outcomes, and SARS-CoV-2 phylodynamics, molecular epidemiology as well as host genetics in COVID-19 outcomes in Ghanaians.
